Look who finally got around to uploading photos from AX! //lazy//

My friend Mikel was amazing and took a lot of photos of my costumes for me. This is one of my favorite shots that she took.

If any of you remember my old Tali cosplay, then you probably see the improvements I've made. Brand new body suit (better materials and I hand painted the hexagon pattern on it) and I redid the trim on the hoodie, as well as making it fit better. The helmet was cast out of resin and the mouthpiece lights up when I talk.
And you know what? it's STILL not done. But it'll eventually get there haha.

Now here's some HILARIOUS that happened at the convention. Mikel and Kathryn were my escorts pretty much, especially Mikel. Apparently she looked like it too so this guy walks up....
Guy: //looks at Mikel// Can I take your picture?
Mikel: ...sure?
Guy: //turns to me and takes the picture. Turns back to Mikel// Thank you.
Mikel: Uh... you're welcome.
Me: ....Does he think I can't speak or something?
Mikel: Maybe I just look like your bodyguard.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy. I'll upload more photos if I get bored. :3

Hi, I'm also making a Tali cosplay, but I'm struggling with keeping the wraps from slipping down my legs (we did some velcro, but I honestly don't think it was enough) Would you mind telling me how you kept the wraps on your leg? This is the first cosplay I've ever made (always bought them before) and I really would appreciate the help!

Hi there!
I had to have a friend help me safety pin them in place as I stood still, and she kept readjusting them through the day so I still have to go back and find a better way of doing it. I was thinking of using snap buttons in addition to velcro, since snap buttons hold better. They're really annoying to keep in the same spot, since real fabric doesn't work like video game fabric.
And wow, that's definitely a hard first cosplay. If you need help on anything else, let me know!

Awe, thank you so much! I'm going to redo the cosplay entirely after the con I'm going to, as I've learned a lot (though the wrap and hood are actually really nice) I was thinking a combo of snap buttons and velcro! So I guess I"ll just see how that works!

and I will certainly ask questions again if I come up against something! Right now, I'm about to conquer the leg armor with craft foam...hopefully the wire I use to make the foam bends helps get a leg shape!

Looks awesome. I am wondering if you can tell me how much yardage was needed to make the part of the costume that is of the hood type material please.

I think I barely fit it all into 1 1/2, but get 2 yards in case you mess up!
And thank you for the comment! ^^
