Oh. My. GOD. This took ages to finish. I can't... I won't even go into all the details. Just know that this made me want to cut my own hands off. I seriously have never struggled with a picture so much before in my life.

Backgrounds will forever be my pain, my misery, the one thing that makes me go "I hate this world."

I hope I didn't do too bad. In fact, I'm praying that this is decent, because it is the damned best that I can do with my skills right now. I definitely learned a lot, and I now know what my weaknesses are.

BUT moving back to the picture, the girl who commissioned me wanted a scene from her fanfiction drawn out. It's called "Both Ways At Once," companion story to "Sestina." (They are both very good and I suggest checking them out at FFDN if you like Star Trek fanfiction.)

Oh, yeah, references were used for their faces, although I think I failed at Pavel's face epicly, as well as for the cathedral in the back.

I'm going to go cry about backgrounds and rethink my life as an artist now. Goodbye.
